Welcome to Mr. Freighter. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Mr. Freighter website and services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Mr. Freighter is an online marketplace that connects parties who need to move goods internationally ("Shippers") with freight carriers ("Carriers"). Mr. Freighter is a platform only. We are not a freight broker, forwarder, or carrier, and we are not a party to any agreement, quote, booking, or shipment arranged between users. All transportation arrangements are solely between the Shipper and the Carrier.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account.
The Service is currently free of charge. Posting shipments, browsing listings and messaging other users cost nothing today, and no payment method is required to use any part of the Service. We reserve the right to introduce fees in future; if we do, we will give notice before any charge applies to you, and you will never be billed for anything you have not agreed to. The paragraph below describes the fees that would apply if and when charging begins, and is not in effect today.
Posting shipments and browsing the Service are free for all users. Carriers pay a one-time fee of $5 per shipment to open a message thread with the Shipper for that shipment. The fee buys access to the conversation only. Shippers' contact details are not disclosed by payment; a Shipper may choose, at their sole discretion, to share contact details with a Carrier within a thread, and is never obliged to do so. Carriers may instead purchase annual access for $99 per year, which covers unlimited unlocks for the subscription period. Annual access renews automatically each year at the then-current rate for your subscription unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time from your account settings or by emailing contact@mrfreighter.com; cancellation stops future renewals and access continues until the end of the period already paid for. Fees are billed through our third-party payment processor, are non-refundable except where required by law, and may change with notice (existing subscribers keep their current rate until they cancel). Applicable taxes may apply.
Carriers are identified through the U.S. Federal Maritime Commission's registry of licensed ocean freight intermediaries (NVOCCs) and confirm their own company details before being listed. Mr. Freighter makes reasonable efforts to confirm that Carriers are registered operators, but does not guarantee the qualifications, licensing, insurance, performance, or conduct of any user. You are responsible for conducting your own due diligence before entering into any agreement.
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to post false or misleading information, to list domestic-only freight (the Service is for international shipments only), to circumvent fees, to harvest other users' data, or to interfere with the operation or security of the Service.
You may not list, solicit, or arrange the movement of: weapons, ammunition, explosives or military articles; controlled substances or drug paraphernalia; protected wildlife, ivory, or species restricted under CITES; counterfeit, pirated, or stolen goods; human remains or human trafficking of any kind; currency, bearer instruments, or precious metals held for value; or any goods whose import or export is prohibited in the origin or destination country.
Hazardous materials (including dangerous goods under IMDG, IATA, or 49 CFR) may only be listed if they are accurately and fully described in the listing, and only where the Carrier holds the authority and capability to handle them lawfully. Undeclared or misdeclared hazardous cargo is a serious safety risk and grounds for immediate removal and account termination.
You represent and warrant that you are not a person or entity designated on the U.S. Treasury Department's Specially Designated Nationals list, the Commerce Department's Denied Persons or Entity List, or any equivalent restricted-party list, and that you are not owned or controlled by, or acting on behalf of, any such person or entity.
You agree not to use the Service to arrange shipments to, from, or through any country or region subject to comprehensive U.S. economic sanctions, or to any restricted end user or prohibited end use. You are responsible for determining and complying with all applicable export control, customs, import, and sanctions laws that apply to your shipment, including obtaining any required licences. Mr. Freighter does not screen shipments, parties, or destinations, and does not provide compliance, customs, or legal advice.
Freight marketplaces are targeted by fraud, including fictitious cargo listings, impersonation of licensed carriers, unauthorised re-brokering, and advance-fee schemes. Because Mr. Freighter does not vet users, you are responsible for verifying who you are dealing with before you move cargo or send money.
We strongly recommend that you: verify a Carrier's licence directly with the Federal Maritime Commission or the FMCSA rather than relying on documents sent to you; confirm insurance coverage with the insurer named on the certificate; be cautious of any party who pressures you to move the conversation off-platform immediately, requests a deposit or fee to secure a load, or provides contact details that do not match public records. Mr. Freighter will never ask you to send payment to another user.
You agree to report suspected fraudulent listings or users to contact@mrfreighter.com.
When you post a shipment or register as a Carrier, you will be asked to confirm specific statements about your cargo, your authority, or your credentials. Those confirmations form part of these Terms. Submitting them while knowing them to be untrue is a breach of these Terms and may also be unlawful. We record the date, time, and version of the terms you accepted.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Mr. Freighter does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any listing or user will meet your expectations.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mr. Freighter and its owners, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of agreements or dealings between users. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to Mr. Freighter in the three months before the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold Mr. Freighter harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your listings or communications, or your dealings with other users.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account, and remove any listing, if you violate these Terms — including the prohibited goods, sanctions, and fraud provisions above — or use the Service in a way that could harm other users or Mr. Freighter. We may do so without notice where we believe there is a risk to safety, security, or legal compliance.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to contact@mrfreighter.com.

This Privacy Policy explains how Mr. Freighter ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (the "Service").
We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, password, and — for Carriers — company name and address, a contact person and phone number, and the lanes you serve. Shippers provide shipment details such as origin, destination, cargo type, weight, budget, and dates. We also collect limited technical data such as your IP address and basic usage information when you interact with the Service.
Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not collect or store full card numbers on our servers. The processor's handling of your payment data is governed by its own privacy policy.
We use the information we collect to operate the marketplace, create and manage accounts, display listings and facilitate connections between Shippers and Carriers, process payments, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Because Mr. Freighter is a marketplace, certain details you provide — such as a Carrier's company name and contact information, or a Shipper's shipment listing — are shown to other users so they can connect with you. We also share information with service providers who help us run the Service (such as hosting and payment processing), and when required by law or to protect our rights or users. We do not sell your personal information.
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
You may review and update your account information, or request deletion of your account, by contacting us. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights over your personal data.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
Questions about this policy can be sent to contact@mrfreighter.com.
